Unlike traditional sensors, which only measure the air temperature inside the refrigerator, this Food Simulant Probe provides a more accurate representation of the actual temperature of the food.
Air reacts more quickly to temperature changes than food. The Food Simulant Probe has a longer response time, which better matches the response of food.
This means that if, for example, there is a malfunction or a refrigerator door is left open, you’ll know for sure when the temperature of your food has risen, and you’ll avoid having to throw food away unnecessarily.
For businesses with multiple refrigerators/freezers, users can install the sensors and a single thermocouple thermometer, such as the Therma 1, to check each sensor and measure the temperature throughout the day. This makes temperature checks simple and accurate, without the need to purchase multiple instruments for each refrigerator.
Save time and automate your temperature monitoring using Wi-Fi data loggers. Connect the Food Simulant Probe to a data logger such as the TD2TC, and the device will measure and record the values at the intervals you have programmed.
Temperature readings are automatically sent to your computer, and you can view and manage the data remotely using our free software. In addition, you’ll receive email and app notifications when readings are out of range, so you’ll be notified immediately if a problem arises.
