Contactless Infrared Forehead Thermometer

The contactless forehead thermometer is CE 1639 certified and manufactured according to the EU Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC (Class II). The thermometer consistently provides reliable and accurate temperature measurements and automatically displays the 'oral equivalent' temperature. Thanks to the contactless infrared technology, users can safely and hygienically measure the temperature on the forehead of adults and children quickly.

This thermometer is fast, accurate, and user-friendly. Press the on/off button (on/mem) to turn on the device, hold the device within 4 cm (40 mm) of the center of the forehead, and hold the 'Start' button until you hear one beep (unless the sound is turned off); this signal indicates the measurement is complete. A measurement takes about 1 second. The built-in fever alarm (three short beeps followed by one long beep) sounds when the oral equivalent temperature exceeds 37.5 °C.

For the best and most accurate results, we recommend keeping the forehead clean. A forehead that is sweaty, covered with cosmetics, or contains scar tissue can lead to inaccurate measurements. The person whose temperature is being measured should have been in a stable environment for at least five minutes before the measurement and should not have engaged in physical activity or taken a bath or shower for 30 minutes prior (activities that can artificially raise body temperature).

The bright blue backlight ensures the display is easy to read, even in poorly lit areas. To save battery, the thermometer automatically turns off after 60 seconds. For extra versatility, you can switch to surface mode; this allows you to measure the surface temperature of other common objects up to a maximum of 80 °C. The temperature display can be switched between °C and °F. To do this, turn off the device, hold down the 'Start' button, and then press the on/off button (on/mem) for 3 seconds; the display will switch from °C to °F. You can use the same procedure to switch back from °F to °C. NOTE: switching between °C and °F will clear the memory. The contactless forehead thermometer stores the last 25 measurements so you can easily review and track them periodically. Dimensions are 34 (d) x 48 (w) x 158 (l) mm.
