Guidelines for Battery Life

With RFX, you can choose how often temperature readings are sent to your device: every 1.0 °C/F, 1.5 °C/F, or 3.0 °C/F. The longer the interval, the longer the battery will last.

Below are our recommendations, based on your cooking time:

Short cooking times (less than 5 hours) – intervals of 1.0 °C/°F

Average cooking times (5–15 hours) – in 1.5 °C/F increments

Long cooking times (15–65 hours) – intervals of 3.0 °C/°F

We recommend that you follow these guidelines to ensure that your battery lasts for the entire cooking time.
